Rosie O'Donnell Puts Her Foot in Her Mouth Again

Bonnie Calhoun
Well Rosie O'Donnell has stepped into it again. Granted she has never been one to be mealy-mouthed about any subject. But this time she has crossed the line into the no-man's land that daytime talk shows have a history of avoiding...the hint of a 9/11 conspiracy!

The topic of the war came up on Thursday's show...like that's not as constant a topic as Donald Trump's comb-over! Anyhow, the conversation began with the prospect of war in Iran. Rosie O' promptly steered the conversation into her pet theory that the World Trade Center 7, the one that fell hours after the Twin Towers, was destroyed on purpose with explosives.

To quote Rosie when she was asked whether she thought the government was behind the collapse of WTC7: "I do believe that it was the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center tower 7, which collapsed in on itself . It is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. Miraculously, the first time in history steel was melted by fire."

Now I don't personally care for O'Donnell, and I must admit that I watch the show with the same "moth to a flame" mentality that drives people to rubberneck at accident scenes. I have to watch to see what other moves she can take to win friends and influence people!

What keeps me from hurling solid objects at the TV set is O'Donnell's co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck. That sweet girl hails from a close proximity of the same political fiber that I do, and is often in head-to-head confrontations citing a conservative viewpoint, in opposition to O'Donnell's liberal left-leaning rhetoric.

While I'm sitting there hurling insults at the TV and goading Elizabeth to say something, O'Donnell says, "...to say that we don't know that it imploded ... is beyond ignorant. Look at the film, get a physics expert from Yale, from Harvard, pick the school. It defies reason. Imagine if somebody could convince you of that?"

That's it...I've got a vase in my hand...but Elizabeth keeps her cool, and responds, "If someone could sit here and prove that to me, I would open my mind to that."

Okay, I sat the vase back down...the TV gets to live for another day.

So later on that same evening one of my FOX favs, Bill O'Reilly spoke out on the rant, saying that her conduct was outrageous and that ABC should fire her for the remarks. Well ya' think! NOT! She's bringing in way too much money for Barbara Walters and ABC...and quite a few of the TV manufacturers.

As of this reporting, free speech lives on! I know this is all for ratings. I know I never watched the show before all these controversies, so I guess the ploy is working, even with me! But geez Louise!

You can go to Rosie's Personal Blog to see what else she has to say about this same subject. I'm a New Yorker...she's a Floridian that moved to New York. We were done with this six years ago!

What's really sad is that Rosie O'Donnell supports Don Imus.
    Check it out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5PfasJ8H8Bc
It's sad that she doesn't want to be discriminated against
as a lesbian but justifies his comments. She's a hypocrite!

Maybe when you throw your shoe at the TV it will hit Elizabeth. She makes me NUTS! She is possibly one of the most intolerant talk show hosts I have ever watched or listened to. I hate the fact that she declares her "Christian" views so vehemently. I was also raised Christian. I don't recall killing or revenge being part of the Christian agenda. From what I remember, forgiveness is a cornerstone of Christianity. To listen to Elizabeth, one would think she has never forgiven anyone for any mistakes they've ever made. blech...she is really annoying.

If you were offended by Rosie O'Donnell's comments on ABC's "The View" television show, (the comments that belittled the suffering of pets and their families affected by the tainted pet foods), you can express your feelings to the sponsors of "The View". The website www.stoprosie.com has handy links to sponsor websites. That website has its own problem with Rosie regarding her views on 9/11, but you can use the links to sponsors without signing that petition. I am just boycotting sponsors until she issues an apology for the meanness toward dog and cat lovers.

I agree with Paula. I enjoy all the ladies of the View as well. I'm liberal, but I don't always agree with Rosie, and I sometimes agree with Elisabeth (though usually not political issues).

Oops..sorry folks....i didn't get weazl rocks second whole comment posted. i wouldn't want to miss any of it because it's the only thing he/she has produced! The second comment is as follows...Message from weazl rocks....http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/66453/weazl_rocks.html....But then again, looking at your profile, it is clear why you're so stupid. You are bowing down on your knees to a work of fiction written three thousand years ago. Believe that Noah built an ark and put every animal on it? Believe that the Bible is the word of God? You don't know a damn thing about what has filled your hollow little head. And it shows.

Let me make myself perfectly clear on this. Thank Robert, but I am not near to there. Oh and by the way S.Truth, I did not inject my own opinion into Rosie's rant, but yet I received these two email from this Associated Content producer weazl rocks, who by the way hasn't produced any content other than annoying emails.......Message from weazl rocks....
You really are quite the idiot, and worse off, let your idiocy be well known. Conspiracy Theory? Do some homework. Read some books. And please take that picture off of your avatar. You are ugly enough. Maybe is someone didn't look at you, they could imagine that you weren't a stupid as you are. But, as was said in Lawrence of Arabia, "Good thing that when God made you, he gave you a fools face." Now explain what happened to building 7, learn what a controlled demolition looks like, and otherwise STFU.....and then this second email.....Message from weazl rocks
But then again, looking at your profile, it is clear why you're so stupid.

Bonnie, this is an excellent piece. I love both Rosie and Elizabeth -- it's funny -- they are both right about different matters. I learn so much from all their points of view, and I'm glad Barbara hired Rosie. She was like a breath of fresh air after Star Jones quit. And yes, I do yell back at my TV at Rosie and Joy some days, but most days they crack me up with their wit and on-point observations. Of course I don't agree with all Rosie has to say, and don't like that Joy is so down on marriage, but listening to both liberal and conservative voices helps me. What do you think about Rosie's conspiracy theory that our government (along with Tony Blair?) let those British soldiers get capture as an excuse for us to nuke Iran?

It's about time someone who is respected and adhord by millions makes a statement such as this, you all are so fast to past judgement on here, shame on all of you. The WTCB #7, was brought down by a controlled detonation. WTCB# 7 was over fourteen stories tall. If you ask anyone who may be involved in that type of work (pulling a building) will tell you that it takes at least 2 to 4 months minimum to prepare a building of that size to be brought down. Engineers are brought in to survey where to place charges. Hundreds of man hours are needed in preperation of running of running electrical and det. cord, plus they rig the charges with a backup just in case the primary fails to detonate (the backup detonates micro seconds if the primary fails). The question that so many of you have failed to realize, or at least ask questions, " How can a building of that size be rig with explosive, and be brought down in a controlled detonation in matter of hours with all of the confusion and chaos goin
