Rosie O'Donnell's Gay and Lesbian Family Vacation Cruise Ship

Rosie O'Donnell's gay/lesbian family cruise ship, is it " the love boat "? Many gay/lesbians are now able to take a family vacation without having to hide their affection for one another or be ridiculed for their sexuality. In 2004 Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell made the dream come true for 1,500 gay/lesbians. Straight people were also invited on this seven-day cruise. The seven-day cruise set sail to the Caribbean. Miami-based Norwegian owns the cruise ship named the Norwegian Dawn.

After arriving in the Caribbean Rosie, Kelli, and their 1,500 passengers were not welcomed by all. Protesters started protesting against the gay/lesbians. Many, if not all the passengers were accompanied by their children, biological children or adopted children. People from the Caribbean's did not take this in to consideration before taunting, ridiculing, or disrespecting the gay and lesbian parents in front of their children. While many of the gay and lesbians parents were being taunted and ridiculed, most of their reactions were disbelief. The way most of them handled this was to just ignore the ignorance.

Why do some people think they have the right to get into the sexual orientation of others? For most of us we don't go around in public and show our affection in an inappropriate way. We don't inappropriately show affection in front of our children. Nor do we taunt, ridicule, or disrespect heterosexuals for kissing in public or showing any kind of affection toward one another in public. I guess my advice would be that if you're a heterosexual who is comfortable with your own sexuality, then you have no reason to be threatened by homosexuals. Some people need to wake up in the world and realize this is not a "choice" as some will say. You don't go through your life being heterosexual and then wake up one day and think hmmm, I think I will date the same sex today. If you believe that is what happens, then perhaps you will wake up tomorrow as a homosexual.

This world would be a much better place if people would keep out of other people's business and relationships. If you are someone who is against homosexuals and you spend a lot of time talking about this topic, here is something to think about. If you stayed out of our business you would have more time to do more important things in life and you wouldn't be wasting time trying to change something that will never be changed. Love is love, gay or straight.
