Round Two of Jerseylicious

The opening of the new season of Jerseylicious starts with the Gatsby Salon throwing a "Bronze and Beautiful" event. The old crew is back, but with many new surprises. Gatsby owner, Mama Gayle, is sporting a cast from ripping her calve and her daughter or co-partner, Christy, is about eight months pregnant.

Anthony is getting ready to open his new made-over salon while his apprentice or should I say, "Guido in training," Filippo, is busy spraying orange tan on the ladies. This season may say "good-bye" to the stud of the bunch when the finishing touches are almost done in his own salon.

Also, the "Glam Fairy" Alexa, gave Olivia a pair of new wings in her makeup business. The dust must've gotten to her head because she also hired Olivia's best friend, Brianna. Apparently, Brianna has her license in hair so I guess viewers can refer as the "Hairy Fairy." The three of them get busy putting on blue eyeshadow and beehive hairdos on little girls preparing for a holy communion. Pretty scary to see little girls starting the "Jersey" look at such a young age.

It seems like the Jerseylicious crew were also busy getting makeovers when the cameras were off. Alexa has a new rugged bob. Tracy sports a new "mahogany" colored hairdo as well as a slimmer Gigi. She must've been laying off the pasta during off-shooting because she's looks 4 sizes smaller.

Perhaps she is sizing down for a future wedding?

While Gigi was having dinner with her pseudo "in-laws," she mentions her promise ring and the subject of babies comes up at the table. Franky's mother is ready but unfortunately, Gigi's beau is not ready to put down his gel to pick up a bottle.

In usual Gatsby fashion, the opening season starts off with drama with the mama. Alexa keeps Olivia from arriving to the Gatsby's, "Bronze and Beautiful" event and Mama Gayle is not happy. Meanwhile, a furious Tracy has to apply makeup on Olivia's clients. It's amazing that she didn't scratch any of the clients with her cat claws.

A battle arises when Olivia shows up late to the salon and Tracy giver her a piece of her mind. The parking lot is once again, a boxing ring for these two Jersey cats. Anthony decides to watch the show from the inside of the salon and Gayle wobbles in the fight with her crutches to confront Alexa. It seems she is tired of the Glam Fairy's attitude. Cameras show Gayle stating, "If Alexa and I didn't make so much money together, I definitely would not be doing this with her."

Meanwhile, Tracy and her boyfriend, Lorenzo, seem to be drifting apart. Tracy is asked to speak at the Artistic Academy's fashion show. She feels honored as she graduated from the school and was asked to be a mentored alumni.

Tracy refers it as the "Harvard of Beauty Schools." She is excited about this and sees it as a photo op for her growing portfolio so she asks Lorenzo to be a photographer. However, he would rather take her hot pink camera and take pictures of himself with the school's mannequins. Tracy gets fed up with his antics and ends up breaking off the relationship because she feel he is interfering in her dreams of owning her own runway company. Lorenzo is clueless and feels she broke it off because he failed to produce top quality portfolio pictures.

On the other hand, Christy is feeling unattractive in her growing pregnant body and Alexa offers her services to weld the relationship back together. Alexa books her a maternal photo-shoot in a fancy-smancy mansion but also feels that the "sex traffic theme" would be perfect for a pregnant lady in her third trimester. Alexa hires two models in black lingerie to accompany Christy at a photo-shoot and all hell breaks loose. Christy breaks down and the mascara starts rolling. Alexa realizes that her visions aren't accepted well and decides to tone down the photo-shoot from trashy to classy.

On a final note, Olivia promises Gayle that she will be more responsible while juggling two jobs between the Glam Fairy and the Gatsby. While trying to achieve this, she decides to take her $1,500 and buy a used car. She is having a hard time finding a car in this budget and keeps comparing the cars on the lot to her former fabulous ride, a white Hummer. However, she decides to buy a car on the "death row" sales lot and feels the transmission in her used car really isn't that important.

All in all, the first episode ends a sweet note. Alexa reveals Christy's pregnant modeling pictures at the salon. The crew finds the picture tasteful as a 8 month pregnant woman is wearing a pink bra and cups her stomach. Anthony looks away as the picture is still a little to pornish for him, perhaps someone needs to remind him that he is still in Jersey.
