Roundup: Where Do Movie Stars Keep Their Oscar Awards?

With the 83rd Annual Academy Awards set for later this month, it's time to take a look at where some past winners keep their coveted statuettes. A locked trophy case? Nah. In Hollywood, the Oscar gold can be found in some surprising places.

During a recent appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Susan Sarandon told the Queen of Talk that she keeps her awards in the bathroom. Sarandon has what her kids call "The famous bathroom," a guest bathroom that houses all of her shiny statuettes. But her Best Actress Oscar for the 1995 film "Dead Man Walking" is currently on tour in an American Museum of Natural History gold exhibition.

Holly Hunter (Best Actress,1993 "The Piano") told Winfrey she keeps her statuette at filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen's office in New York - along with actress Frances McDormand's Oscar for her Best Actress role in "Fargo." It's all just one big happy family.

Of her Oscar, Sissy Spaceck (Best Actress, 1980 "The Coals Miner's Daughter") told Winfrey, "I'm rarely without it. I take it everywhere with me." Pan to a photo of her sleeping with her Oscar.

In 2008, actress Reese Witherspoon ( Best Actress, 2005, "Walk the Line") told People, "Well, I've considered making it into a door knocker or a necklace, but neither one of those options was very practical. I just keep it in my living room."

Actor Timothy Hutton ( Best Supporting Actor, 1980, "Ordinary People") told USA Today his Oscar is just chillin', saying, "My sister and I were having a party at my house in upstate New York.... She put it in the refrigerator. She thought that would be kind of funny to put the Oscar in the refrigerator when people would go grab a beer or something. ... It's still there."

Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster (Best Actress, 1989, "The Accused;" Best Actress, 1991,"The Silence of the Lambs," 1991) told InStyle , "I used to keep them in the bathroom because they looked good with the faucets. But when they started getting corroded on the bottom, I had to move them to a trophy case in my den."

Finally, a trophy case!

The 83rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled for February 27th.
