Rowdy Kid's Party Games Guaranteed to Work-off Excess Energy
Money in the Bank
Put a dish of pennies on a table. Give each guest a plastic fork and tell them to put the fork's handle in their mouth. Set a time limit, take turns and let each child pick up as many pennies as they can. Then carry the pennies to another dish on the other side of the room. Suggested prize: all the pennies they were able to carry across the room.
Princess
The birthday girl starts out wearing a gold paper crown. Put the girls in a circle and play a lively tune. As quickly as they can, the crown is passed from girl to girl until music stops. The girl with the crown gets to wear it the rest of the party.
Musical Checker Chairs
Line chairs back-to-back, using one less chair than there are party guests. Alternate black and red ribbons on the chair backs. Red = 2 points Black= 1 point. Play the music and each time it stops, remove one chair. Kids without chairs are eliminated until there are two chairs left. Tally the points to determine winner.
Musical Bingo
This is the final game to allow the kids to rest and cool off. Before the party, write-up faux Bingo cards using ten words, which are song lyrics. Let the birthday child play records that contain the words. The first one to complete their list of words is the winner.
