Rowing Crew Recreationally in Seattle, WA
Neighborhood: citywide
Seattle, WA
Rowing crew is a fun way to get exercise with a great group of people, and take advantage of the fact that Seattle is a water city. Rowing is a fantastic way to get in shape- crew rowers are typically long and lean (don't worry about your physical measurements when you are doing it recreationally; no one else does.) There are plenty of teams looking for new members all the time, so contact some of these groups if you'd like to try this unique form of exercise.

Everything is as team oriented as possible, so this is a great place to get some new buddies - it's a much more outgoing environment compared to slaving away on the stair master with your headphones on. Seattle Yacht Club (SYC) Women's Crew- Located in the canal way between Lake Washington and Lake Union, by the Montlake bridge. Now if you are a crew fan, or if you are an excellent senior lady rower, go check out the SYC Women's crew in action. They provide a supportive environment for one another both on and off the water, and pride themselves on embodying what a team is, including superior coaching, and competitive results. The Seattle Yacht Club was one of the very first that included women's rowing, and they are still incredibly supportive today.
