If you are considering adopting a pet, Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, between 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. is the perfect time to come out and see what the Royal Oak Animal Shelter has to offer at its annual Adoption Event. This year, local Michigan author Jennifer Charron Ward will be at the event. She will sign her latest book, "Black of Night," and a portion of the sales will go back to the animal shelter. We appreciate Ms. Ward's support.
