Royal Oak City Commission Approves Cantina Diablo's Business Plan Modification

Most around Royal Oak have heard that Memphis Smoke will soon be no longer and instead Cantina Diablo's will occupy the Southwest corner of Main Street and 11 Mile. There is already one Cantina Diablo's location in Ferndale, and based on the wait to get a table, they are doing pretty well.

The Royal Oak location will include a rooftop area, similar to what Memphis Smoke offered before. The original plan, which was approved by the City Commission, included seating for 247 on the first floor, including 22 bar seats, and seating for 182 on the roof, including 27 bar seats.

The new plan has the bar being moved from the east side of the roof to the middle, decreasing the seating on the first floor to 231, and increasing the seating on the roof to 194. Both floors will also have less bar seats. The new plan was approved by the City Counsel with only Commissioner Capello voting against it.
