I explained in the email that their thoughts on Royal Oak would be seen by local residents, other local communities, and might even have access to a national audience. I gave a link in the email so that they could take a look at the local work that I had done on this project up to that point to show that this was a legitimate request from a local writer.
Out of the emails sent out to Mayor Jim Ellison, Commissioner Michael Andrzejak, Commissioner Patricia Capello, Commissioner Terry Drinkwine, Commissioner David Poulton, Commissioner Jim Rasor, and Commissioner Charles Semchena, I received no responses. It makes me wonder why it is that these elected officials are not interested in national exposure. Maybe they should be contacted about why they can't come up with anything nice to say about Royal Oak.
