During the course of the last week in Royal Oak there were a total of 14 arrests. Arrests included two retail frauds, two domestic assaults, two operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and eight other arrests of which there were one each. There were no auto thefts reported in the city during the week.

There was one robbery near the corner of E. Barnum and N. Alexander, on October 9 at about 2 PM. Apparently, three suspects approached a boy riding a bicycle and pushed the boy off of the bike before stealing the bike. The suspects are described by police as three black males between 12 and 15 years old.

There were also six burglaries over the course of the week. Two of the burglaries were items stolen from a locked shed or garage. The other four were burglaries from homes. One of them, on the 1700 block of N. Vermont, occurred while the homeowner was home. The burglar fled once realizing the house was not vacant.
