From Dec. 7 to March 19, the Royal Oak Historical Society will honor those who fought in World War II. Almost all of the displays have been loaned to the society by veterans of the war or their families. Some of the items that will be on display include a captured Nazi medal, a U.S. Army Jeep, a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and an ammunition case.
There will also be men's and women's uniforms and display boards put together by veterans and collectors. For the most part, the exhibits and displays will be organized geographically. Areas will include the Pacific Theater, European Theater and Home Front.
Admission will be free. For more information, call 248-439-1501.
