Royal Oak Leaf Pickup Scheduled
Neighborhood: Royal Oak
Royal Oak, MI 48067
United States of America
These aren't the old days, and if you happen to notice the sweet fall smell of burning leaves, that means somebody is doing something illegal. It's against local ordinances in most communities to set leaf piles on fire.

Royal Oak's leaf collection programm begins on Monday, Nov. 1, and continues for six weeks. City crews will make a minimum of two runs through each neighborhood..

Citizens are asked to avoid parking on the streets during the collection season. Piles should be no more than three feet high and four feet wide, a few inches from the edge of the curb, and free of sticks or other objects.

Residents also may place leaves in trash containers or paper bags for regular pickup. Plastic bags are prohibited.

For updates on the collection schedule, call 246-3300 or visit ci.royal-oak.mi.us.
