In the auditorium of the library's Friends Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, the staff will show "The Casts of Mirikiani." This award-winning documentary illustrates a personal journey through war, internment camps, homelessness and the 9/11 tragedy.
The film is 74 minutes long and a group discussion will follow.
"Given the current resurfacing of the disturbing face of intolerance surrounding the building of a Muslim Unity center in New York, this beautiful film is the perfect opening for more discussion around diversity, freedom, tolerance and love," states the Royal Oak Public Library website.
Reservations can be made by calling the library's adult reference desk at (248) 246-3727.
