Police received a 911 call from an intoxicated male who was at the Exchange Club Park, which is located on Montrose Avenue just north of Thirteen Mile Road, at 2:10 a.m. on July 5. When police arrived, the male was staggering around his bicycle, near some empty beer cans, and asked for a ride home. The police, whom he had called, arrested him for disorderly conduct and violation of park curfew hours.
A 16-gauge shotgun was stolen from an apartment on the 2500 block of Normandy along with a briefcase containing money and personal documents. Another break-in occurred at the Heart and Vein Center, located on Woodward just south of Thirteen Mile Road, where a digital camera was stolen.
A resident on the 800 block of Symes reported that someone stole a central air conditioning unit from his backyard. Nearby, on the 1800 block of Shire Court, a BMX bicycle was stolen from a backyard.
Ernie's Pizza on West Fourth Street was the target of a black male, about 20 years old, who stole two sets of car keys and money from a tip jar.
