Mass Arrests of Occupy Wall St. Protesters Bring Up First Amendment Issues

Over 400 arrests took place on Oct. 1 of Occupy Wall St. protesters as they marched on Brooklyn Bridge. The arrests appear to be a set-up by NYPD. This brings up First Amendment issues. Do Americans have the right to peaceably assemble?
