I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and, as a result, have been a quadriplegic for most of my 33 years. My mother didn't know prior to my birth that I would be afflicted with this illness.

Google hypothyroidism and you'll get 4,500,000 results. That's just crazy. Apparently the reason is because the hypothyroidism diagnosis is quite frequent in women over the age of 50.
