Why I Hate "Hate Crime" Laws Part II

I write this second part in response to an argument that the Hate Crime bills are worthy because they can put existing laws into a greater perspective that touches on the larger aims of an ideal just society. I disagree. And here's why.......

I was a cop on the street when the hate crime bills came into effect and memos from on high came down as to how they wanted us to pay special attention to it. I was instinctively against it on principle.

Trading a later 2nd and a 3rd pick in order to move up for Posluszny may be the defining moment for this Buffalo draft. Not an immediate starter in the bunch. RB Marshawn Lynch went a bit earlier than expected.

G BEN GRUBBS is a guard worthy of a 1st round pick. He will own the LG position for the next decade. Strong blocker for both the run and the pass. Can step right in and contribute. If he develops a mean streak, watch out.

New York Jets 2007 NFL Draft Review

The Jets obviously feel good enough about their overall team depth to trade up for each of their first two picks. They moved up 11 slots in the 1st round to get S DARRELLE REVIS at #14. He is a nice value pick.

Is an Abortion a Crime After the Fetus is Capable of Human Thought?

I believe a fetus becomes a person when it becomes capable of human thought I strongly believe in holding personal choice related laws to a minimum. I'd rather it be that a fetus somehow magically becomes a human being at the moment the cord is cut.
