Ruby Tuesdays Does Not Rely on a Name

Often chain restaurants will rely on the fact that you know their name and then disappoint you with poor service, or poor execution of food preparation, a great example is my article about

Dixon City's Perkins. Ruby Tuesdays sets the bar for a wonderful experience at a chain restaurant, bypassing this common problem.

Ruby Tuesdays in Dixon City is a restaurant that doesn't rely on its name to bring them customers, but, relies on the quality of their restaurant and their staff. Their service is friendly, their food is fresh and delicious, and their store is clean. I would recommend Ruby Tuesdays not just on Tuesdays but any day of the week.

Initial Impressions

Upon arriving at Ruby Tuesdays this past weekend, we were greeted by a friendly host who held the door for us and immediately sat us. The lampshades were free of dust, the carpet was well maintained and free of debris and every table I saw was bussed and set. Even the salad bar was clean. There is nothing worse than visiting a restaurant that you don't feel is clean enough to eat at. Ruby Tuesdays staff maintains a tight ship!

Ruby Tuesdays Rock Star Service

Our server, Cory, came over shortly after we were seated and asked for our drinks and brought them back immediately. Cory was a funny guy, and whenever we asked for something he always said, "Most Definitely." It was like lunch served with a side of friendly surfer, my friends commented that he was entertaining and it was like watching "Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure." It made for a very nice dining experience to have a server who was both polite, and had personality.

The Superb Salad Bar

After we placed our order for three different burgers and salad bars all around, we were directed to Ruby Tuesdays' salad bar, which is nice because often servers do not offer assistance that is not asked for. When we arrived at the salad bar, however, there were no plates. This moment of truth was handled almost immediately and two different Ruby employees immediately rushed to get chilled plates for us.

The salad bar was fresh, well stocked, and tidy as usual. If you enjoy a salad you should definitely go to Ruby Tuesdays. They have iceberg lettuce, mixed greens and baby spinach available to be topped with a variety of fixings that go well beyond your standard salad bar. Among these toppings you will find Craisins, peas, real bacon bits, feta cheese, and pumpernickel croutons that will blow your mind. Ruby Tuesdays features six different salad dressings, in addition to oil, and balsamic vinegar.

Burger-licious!

When we were almost finished our salads our burgers came right on time. Ruby Tuesday's has an array of different burgers, we ordered a Bison Burger, an Alpine Swiss, and a Turkey Burger. All of our meals were cooked exactly how we ordered them rare, medium, and Turkey! Turkey burgers our occasionally dry because Turkey is a fairly lean meat, this particular visit I ordered a Turkey Burger for the second time. The first time I had a Turkey Burger at Ruby Tuesdays I had the Mini Trio, and even in miniature form their turkey burgers and the juiciest I have ever tasted.

Served with a Side of Joy!

All of our sides were correct and came with Ketchup. My friend raved over Ruby Tuesday's mashed cauliflower, and if you don't fear garlic, I recommend it as well. Since I could not decide between the Alpine Swiss burger with portabella mushrooms and my turkey burger, the way that I compromised was to switch my fries for a side of mushrooms. This substitute was wonderful and allowed me to have the best of both Ruby Tuesdays worlds.

Follow Up Service

Our server than came back several times and carried on an unobtrusive banter with us, and provided our table with multiple drink refills, and even made cherry coke for us special.

The prices were moderate falling around $8.99 for a burger with a side, and with the purchase of a burger, their salad bar is only $2.99.

Final Thoughts on Ruby Tuesdays

If you are looking for a burger or salad in Dixon City, I would definitely recommend Ruby Tuesdays for their fast friendly service, their delicious food, clean atmosphere and moderate prices. Ruby Tuesdays makes wonderful burgers, and lives up to the name of its chain.

If I'm ever in Dixon City, I will check it out. Our Ruby's here isn't nearly as impressive.
