How is that possible you ask? Well, it's very simple. You can start out your day with a tall glass of fruit or vegetable juice. That is one fruit or vegetable right there. Next you may want to add some blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or a banana to your bowl of breakfast cereal. This would be your second serving of fruits or vegetables for that day. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day and starting it off as a low calorie and healthy meal is a great start to anyone's morning whether you are dieting or just trying to eat healthy.
For lunch you may try a garden salad with a side of fruity yogurt. Both are very low calorie and contain your much needed servings of fruits and vegetables. You're probably thinking, "That's not going to fill me up". You may be right. That's why there's always a mid afternoon snack option. Don't think about donuts, chips, or a candy bar. Think healthy, think fruits and vegetables. Carrot sticks, celery sticks, an apple, some grapes, or perhaps a banana. These are all great snacks and can usually tie you over until dinner.
Your home and now you're planning on what to make for dinner. You have a lot of great options in that department. You want to make something very low fat, and still get all of you much needed nutrition. Perhaps a side salad for starters. This will give you another serving of vegetables that you need for that day. Following the side salad, perhaps you could make a baked potato with broccoli. There you have even more vegetables. And then fill your plate with main dish. Perhaps you made a meatloaf or steak. You can also add even more vegetables as your side items such as green peas, corn, or green beans. You can never eat too many vegetables.
You've just finished dinner and now you want something sweet. Fruits can fulfill that sweet tooth you may have. You know the one, where you go raid the freezer for that delicious Rocky Road ice-cream or that last half of cheese cake just sitting there all alone in the refrigerator. Make a fruit salad with lots of apple slices, grapes, pineapple, pears, peaches, and don't forget the cherries to top it off. Fruits are packed full of nutritious vitamins that your body is craving.
These are all low calorie foods that you can enjoy any time of day. If you keep vegetables in your life, you will soon be loosing the weight that you have been dreaming about.
