Rumor Central: Angelina Jolie Gives Birth to Twins in France?

According to the Montreal Gazette, conflicting reports and rumors are swirling all over the internet that Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins in France. While Jolie and Pitt's representatives vehemently deny the reports several media outlets including Entertainment Tonight reported on the births. While at the Cannes Film Festival, promoting the animated feature Kung Fu Panda, Jolie alluded to the fact that though they hadn't decided on a place for the births, they were looking at France. The high profile duo did recently sign a three year lease on a chateau in Provence.

If the rumors are true then they will be adding two more to their international brood. Jolie and her famous partner Brad Pitt already have four kids, Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3 and Shiloh, who will be 2 soon. It appears that Jolie is striving to keep her children aware of their cultural backgrounds. In a recent US Weekly article she shared about her and Pitt's efforts to keep the children educated about their backgrounds. "All my children are from all different parts of the world, and especially my boys. We do have a teacher who teaches them Cambodian and Vietnamese in our house, and they know their flags and they know their music and they know quite a lot about their culture and [Brad and I] bring in as much as we can and we'll continue to as they get older."

Jolie has been praised and mocked for the adoption of her children. Accusations that the adoptions are publicity stunts have been levied. In my opinion, that is ridiculous. There are far better ways to draw attention, besides placing the lives of innocent children in the balance. Jolie and Pitt both seem to be caring and devoted parents. It seems completely in keeping with her character that she would adopt these children. In my opinion, her efforts as a goodwill ambassador have given her a bird's eye view of the issues children are facing around the globe. My take is that she is genuinely engaged in the fight to make a better life for the children she has adopted and for children around the world. Luckily she found a partner who is equally matched in his efforts to make the world a better place.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are more than just pretty faces. The content of their character speaks volumes. Wherever they lay their hats, they engage the locals and make every effort to make it a better place for their having been there. The truth is that it doesn't matter if they've had their children in France or Timbuktu, they will be, not only great parents but great role models.
