Rumors Place Actress Kristin Davis in a Sex Tape

A "Sex and the City" Scandal? One of the stars of HBO's hit show, Kristin Davis, is rumored to have scandalous photos and videos of her being plastered on the Internet. The rumors have it that an ex-boyfriend leaked the video (which still photos were taken from) to unknown sources of Davis giving him oral sex. While the photos do bear a striking resemblance to Davis, a whole new series of questions are being asked behind the motive of the photos.

After looking at the pictures and being fairly skilled with Photoshop, I think the photos have been altered and weren't Davis, but someone out there wants them to look like Davis. Now the question is who? Davis' reps are denying any video was made by the star. Or perhaps it is SATC movie promoters.

Many people are guessing this is just a publicity stunt by Sex and the City promoters trying to stir up talk about the star and the upcoming SATC movie that is coming to theaters in May. But that poses other questions, such as why Davis, if it is her, would agree to this type of "promotion."

Numerous actresses have been stars of sex tapes -- Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson to name a couple. For the most part, these stars aren't in the spotlight when the video comes out and their actions get the media paying attention. Davis is probably one of the lesser known of the four main SATC girls with Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Catrell's feud often stealing much of the media attention. The third star, Cynthia Nixon, recently caused a stir when it became known that the actress was in a homosexual relationship.

Along with that, because Davis plays uptight and sweet Charlotte York on the show, and many people have come to think of her in that way.

There can be a major downsides to sex tapes. People who may have been fans of actresses might think this raunchy behavior is unappealing and discontinue watching. It could also potentially wreak havoc on any current relationship with a significant other or family. Plus, directors who were looking for someone to fill a sweetheart type role might now bypass on actresses because they don't want people correlating this scandal with their film.
