Runescape: A Guide to the Black Knight's Fortress, a Free to Play Quest

Before you start this quest you will need to have a total of at least 12 quest points, and be able to survive and kill level 33 non player character. You will also want to gather a few items in order to finish the quest, a guard's uniform. In order to make the uniform you will need to find an iron chain body and a bronze medium helmet. You can make these items if you have a high enough mining, and smithing skill level just click on the skill level box and it will reveal the items you can make in black. Of course if you do not have high enough of a level for these items the text will be in red. If you can not make these items you can also buy them from other players in the game. You will first want to log in on the main runescape page under fourm and look on the pricing list for a fair price on these items. In this quest you are off to spy on the black knights to uncover and evil plan. You need to head to Falador to seek employment by the white knights. You will travel to the castle in Falador and head up to the third floor on the most western side. You are looking for a non player character Sir Amik Varze, he looks like he has a crown on his head. Once you find him you will need to talk this Sir Amik Varze. He will tell you that the Black knights are trying to come up with a plan to destroy all of the White knights. He will ask you to spy on them for the white knights. Accept this job to start the "Black knight's fortress" quest.

Now that you have started the quest you will need to go to the Monastery. It is located just east of Ice Mountain. When you get inside of the Monastery you will want to go north until you see some Cabbages. You will want to pick a couple of these up just in case you mess up a step later. Now double check your inventory to make sure that you have your guard's uniform and cabbages. You should have also brought enough food and better armor and weapon so that you can use them when you are inside of the black knights fortress.You are now ready to start spying on the black knights. You will need to go to the black knights fortress which is on the north side of Ice Mountain. Be careful not to head out to far north since the fortress is on the edge of the wilderness. You will need to wear your guard's uniform before you get to close to the fortress. Now that you have them both on, open the door in the center of the fortress, which is facing south. You need to push on the wall which is just behind the door and then you need to go up that ladder. Once you are inside the fortress you will want to put on your normal set of armor on for extra protection from the black knights, you will also want to equip your weapon.

Now that you have pushed that wall, you need to climb the two ladders to get up to the top floor. Next you will want to climb down the ladder which is on the southeast side. Now you need to open the door on the east side. Then you will want to open the other door and climb up that ladder. You now should find yourself in a room that has two cannons and one black knight. Quickly climb down the ladder on the east side. You should now be in a room with a big Zamorak altar. Open the next door and a Black knight will attack you. You can kill him or run away from him as long as you then go to the ladder on the southwest and climb it. Now you will find yourself in a very small room. This is where you need to start spying. Right click for the option menu and click on Listen-at grill. There will be a witch who should say that there is a secret weapon and that it is almost ready. Of course she will say that they need to get the very last ingredient, a Cabbage that was grown in Draynor Manor. She will say that if it grew anywhere else it would destroy the secret weapon. Now you know that the cabbage you picked was not from the Manor so you will want to find a way to put one of your cabbages into her brew.

To do this you will need to go back downstairs to the ground floor and push that wall again. You will have to open the door on your east. A guard there will say that the Black knights are having an important meeting and they will kill everyone who gets in, enter anyways after preparing yourself for a fight. The Black knights will attack you, kill him or go run over and up the ladder. Walk to the east and then to the south and push the wall. You should see a hole. Now use that right mouse button again on the hole to select the use with option and then it will drop the cabbage. Then it will fall into the witch's cauldron and destroy the secret weapon. Head back out the way you came or teleport back to Falador. You will need to talk to Sir Amik to finish the quest. He will reward you with three quest points and 2500 gold coins.
