You will want to open the gate and then the door to get to Fred the Farmer. You can open any door or gate by clicking on it and then enter through the doorway. Once you find him you will need to talk to him to start the quest. He says that his sheep are getting to be "mighty woolly". He needs to find someone who will shear them for him and he promise that he will pay you if you accept his offer. He wants you to gather for him at least twenty balls of sheep's wool. Go outside and head to the sheep's pen click on the shears and then on the sheep to try to cut the sheep's wool. Now you will not always get some wool when you do this because the sheep will "get away". This is the most frustrating part of the quest since it ends up taking more time then you thought it would. Just try to be patient with the sheep and you will have enough wool to make the balls before you know it. Of course you will need to continue shearing sheep until you have the twenty pieces of wool in your inventory. Make sure you really do have twenty pieces before leaving the sheep's pen. You can not make twenty balls of wool if you do not have twenty pieces of wool. If you remember correctly the farmer will only pay you for balls of wool, not pieces so you will have to turn these pieces into balls of wool. Now to do this you will have to head back south to the Lumbridge castle.
Make your way to the back of the castle to the staircase and climb up to the second floor. In one of the bedrooms you will find a spinning wheel, just what you need to use to spin that wool! Now use the pieces of wool on the wheel until you have finished spinning all twenty balls. Another way to do this is to right click on the spinning wheel and select wool and make x on the option screen. Fill in the blank space by typing out the number 20. Count up your balls of wool to make sure that you do have all twenty of them. Now you will need to take all of the balls of wool back to Fred the Farmer in order to claim your reward. You will need to exit the bedroom and go back down the staircase. Head back out the castle and take the pathway north past the sheep's pen until you get to the Farmer's house.
This quest only gives you one quest point, but it does give you 150 crafting experience points and sixty gold coins.
