RuneScape: Guide to Slayer Master Kuradal and Kuradal's Dungeon

David Farrell
Kuradal, introduced to RuneScape on December 8th, 2009, is the highest level slayer master in RuneScape. Kuradal is located in the Ancient Cavern and now sells the slayer cape. Duradel or Lapalok no longer sells the cape. Ancient Cavern is located south of Barbarian Outpost and requires start of Barbarian Training to enter. Kuradal's Dungeon was also added. This move by Jagex continues the recent trend of new content for high-level RuneScape players. Kuradal's Dungeon is geared specifically for RuneScape players who are power training slayer.

To enter Kuradal's Dungeon, RuneScape players need to have been assigned a slayer task from Kuradal. This requires RuneScape slayer level of 75 and a combat level of 110. Once inside Kuradal's Dungeon, RuneScape players can only attack the slayer monsters of the current slayer assignment. By eliminating access from other players, high level slayer is now a lot easier to train due to reduced competition.

Kuradal rewards 18 slayer points for completion of a task. She also rewards 90 slayer points for every 10th task and 270 slayer points every 50th. Kuradal assigns slayer assignments of RuneScape monsters varying from level 74-304, in quantities of 100-250, although tougher monsters are assigned in lower quantities, sometimes less than 50 monsters.

The slayer monsters in Kuradal's Dungeon include Abyssal and Greater Demons, Blue, Iron, and Steel Dragons, Gargoyles, Dark Beasts, and Hellhounds.

There was mention of an unconventional slayer task she gave, in the December 8th, 2009 RuneScape news release. This resulted in speculation that revenants, other RuneScape players, and the corporal beast would be assignments from Kuradal. The special slayer task is TzTok-Jad, the level 702 boss of the Fight Caves. Kuradal assigns a set number of TzHaar to kill, and says if the RuneScape player manages to get to and kill Jad in the end, that player will receive a bonus.

Slayer monsters in Kuradal's Dungeon drop an item called Ferocious Ring. The Ferocious Ring has a bonus where it increases damage done to slayer monsters in Kuradal's Dungeon by +4 and can be used to teleport to Kuradal. Ferocious Ring also substitutes for a ring of life, only with a teleport destination to Kuradal instead. The ferocious ring has only five charges, after which, it disintegrates. More than one ferocious ring can be had in a player's possession. RuneScape players who have no spare ring are advised to save the last charge so as to be able to reap the ring's other benefits.
