First of all, you need to show your commitment. If you are really dedicated to getting money, then you will. If not, then don't even try. Money doesn't come free and you have to earn it. However, this guide will make earning your money easier.
If you woodcutting level is still 15 or lower, you can only cut one tree...a regular tree! Grab your axe and cut down trees. You can use the logs to sell or burn. Regular logs sell for a whopping 27gp. That is quick money for such a low level in woodcutting. Once you hit 15 woodcutting, you can start chopping oaks. Oaks give about the same money as regular logs, but give much more exp. You'll need this exp, due to the fact that you can only make decent money once you reach 60 woodcutting.
At level 30, you can chop oaks. These are the best exp in the game for free players. Willow logs give 67.5 exp each. However, there is little demand for them and they only sell for 18gp each. You can burn these logs for fast firemaking experience.
You will be cutting mostly willow logs to get 60 woodcutting. I suggest cutting willows at Draynor, since the bank is so close. If you don't want to save your logs, you can also cut at Rimmington. There are a large number of willow trees with barely any people. You can sell your logs to the general store to make a little money.
Once you hit 60 woodcutting, you can start to cut yews. Yews sell for 400+gp. That's great money! However, you probably shouldn't start to cut yews until you are 75+ woodcutting. At 60, yews come extremely slow, and you can barely cut an inventory of yews. At 75, yews start getting faster and you can make a good income from yews.
For members, you can cut maples at level 45. Maples give better exp and money than willows. Maples sell for 44gp each and give 100 exp. Maples are used to level up firemaking, so you can easily sell your logs.
At 75, members can cut the best logs in the game. Magic logs sell for 1200gp each! That's great money! Although 75 woodcutting seems really hard to achieve, it is much easier if you devote your time to cutting trees. Willows and maples would be the best way to achieve 75 woodcutting.
Enjoy being rich!
