RuneScape: Ring of Kinship Guide to Upgrading Melee Class Berserker

David Farrell
In RuneScape, the Berserker class is one of twelve classes the Ring of Kinship can be upgraded to. Found under the grouping of melee, Berserker increases the RuneScape player's strength level when in an aggressive stance. See upgrading Ring of Kinship disambiguation page for links to other guides having to do with upgrading the ring of kinship.

It is important to note that being in an aggressive stance is necessary to be able to take advantage of the berserker class. Contradictory information was initially released in this regard but it is confirmed that the aggressive stance is required so RuneScape players who use a spear cannot make use of either this class or the tactician class. A spear is usually the preferred weapon because it has a stab, slash, and crush so as to be effective against all monsters weak to melee. Now it's a trade off; RuneScape players may opt to smith a shield or by the novite shield from the smuggler and switch their ring to tank if using a spear.

RuneScape players who upgrade to tier one receive an eleven percent bonus to strength level, which translates to higher hits and greater max hit. RuneScape players will find this option to be preferable especially when using a weapon such as a battleaxe that has both a slash and crush option when in an aggressive stance. RuneScape players torn between Berserker and Tactician can upgrade both to tier one for only 270 tokens combined and enjoy having over half the potential of either class.
