Running Off with the Maid of Honor's Brother

Though I have broken up relationships in the past, I have never truly followed through with trying to break up a wedding. The thought has crossed my mind in jest, but I always end up thinking of Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding, and what a schmuck she ended up looking like in the end. But the other day, I did hear a story about a girl who almost followed in the footsteps of another Julia Roberts nightmare, known as The Runaway Bride.

Let's call the bride Brianna. She has been happily engaged to Gary for quite some time, and the big day is imminent. As wedding preparations are under way, she is hanging out more and more with Maggie the maid of honor, and Maggie's brother Sam. Innocent flirtation quickly becomes more serious, and then a conversation ensues. Just a few days before the wedding, Brianna the bride drops a bombshell on Gary the groom, and says she is leaving him for sexy Sam.

Sam and Brianna are together for five blissful years, then he pulls a "Tiger Woods" on her - he has been sleeping around. His best friend, Frank, is furious with him, and takes Brianna's side. She cries on his shoulder until he confesses his undying love for her. Brianna then becomes a bride once again, this time to Frank the family man. They're still together to this day, with three beloved offspring and no signs of troubled waters.

Breaking up a wedding isn't something that is recommended. However, in some cases, like this one, it ends up being for the best for all involved, even if not originally apparent.
