Rush Hour 3 - One of the Best Movies of the Summer

It's better than Transformers at all-out action, better than Knocked Up for comedy, and much better than License to Wed with the outtakes. Quite frankly, Rush Hour 3 is one of the best movies of the summer.

Pitting Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker together again as Inspector Lee and Officer James Carter, the two must once again work together to protect an ambassador and his daughter. However, this is but the start of a long trail that leads them to have a bigger mission: bring down the French "Dragonheads", the 13 leaders of the largest crime syndicate in the world. Dodging lethal assassins, double-crossing women, and of course, the rush hour traffic, the two must use everything and anything available to stay alive and keep the mission going.

The film still keeps the action intense as ever, with Chan utilizing his amazing luck and razor-sharp instincts, while Tucker still gets kicked around pulling snappy one-liners at whoever's in his way. Fans will enjoy the final half hour, as Tucker gets to kick some tail and then busts out in the well known "hung fu fighting" song. Scenery plays a major part in all the action, with roof jumps, chair fights, and the always important rush hour chase scene. Most fans won't mind the obvious play-up of the final action on the beams of the Eiffel Tower, either, as the movie is so good up until that bad it's hard to mind one bit.

Rush doesn't play to just the action crowd, though, and the same is very true here; in fact, it's the humor that makes this installment arguably the best in the series. The aforementioned one-liners from Tucker are still funny, but it's the bond between him and Chan that really enhances every funny part. One scene, in which both are forced to save a big-time showgirl in a crowded theater with gunmen in the audience, Chan swings down to "steal" her while singing, after Tucker ad-libs something off-key. With odd twists such as the heroes diving into a sewer to escape capture, and the rampant sexual innuendo coupled with Tucker's comedic abilities, the all-around laugh-fest of summer has arrived.

Even being just 1:30 long, Rush Hour 3 provides all the entertainment you need for a day, and that doesn't include the always-hilarious outtakes provided during the credits. Even the angriest person can't help but leave the theater with a smile after watching what most viewers will rate as an "A" movie, easily one of the top 3 of the summer.
