During those tiresome hectic days of the work week,
Sometimes it's all I can do to not pull out my hair and shriek.
The adventures begin the minute my alarm clock sounds it wake-up call as I
lay in my comfy little sleeping bed.
Just feet away, loud morning cartoons are already blaring from
my little gal's room.
Oh me, oh my!
And I thought it were just Monday mornings that you dread.
After a few seconds of mental challenges in my boxing ring,
I rise up to face the morning rush hour,
As I begin to check off my list of things to do.
Oh my-I sure hope I can remember everything!
Frantically, I skim my clothing closet, hoping to find that right outfit to wear.
Tank top and a mini?
Do I dare?
Nah, I'll just stick to my normal blue pantsuit.
The ladies at the office would just think I was a hoot!
Just seconds after my morning beauty make-up routine,
My little gal is energized with questions and complaints of just about everything!
" Mommy-I'm sooo hungry!
Mommy-I need something to wear!
... Mommy? Where am I going today?"
Just during some moments, on those hectic frantic days, I thank God
that my only child is her.
Soon with only a few lasting minutes to spare,
I search for my loving husband ...
My oh-so-sweet love affair...
Has he awakened yet?
Arrgggh! And yet still in bed with his tired eyes closed,
To sleep late yet again-is the decision he has chose!
Hassled and hurried, I fly to our room in a flash.
Our morning moods, so terribly do clash.
" Honey, ... Honey...?
GET UP!"
I demand.
I swear, some day, some day-I may just let him be.
With some prodding and pushing,
He is up.
Finally!
Ready for a new day
While I try to shove my tempting morning anger away from me.
And then, oh sweet day.
My daughter is now ready for school, to go learn and play,
And my love and I...
Oh me, oh my...
Hi ho, hi ho...its off to work we go!
