Rush Limbaugh's diet has made him lose between 79 to 90 pounds, and has done so in just a few months. Finally on Thursday's radio show, Limbaugh talked about how he did it by using a diet program from Quick Weight Loss Centers, which is based in Florida.
The Rush Limbaugh diet consists of low-calories, visits to the Quick Weight Loss Center, and appetite supplements. According to Limbaugh, the diet put him just one pound away from his target weight of 210 pounds, though he will not stop his diet after that.
Rush Limbaugh's weight loss is fairly dramatic, and perhaps long overdue. Before the Limbaugh diet, he was so overweight that it was just one more thing for his various enemies to attack him on and joke about - coming in third to the pill-popping jokes and accusations of destroying democracy.
These new stories about Rush Limbaugh's diet seem like something that would be aired on a diet infomercial, where people lose so much weight in just a few weeks. However, there is usually a catch to all that. Dramatic and sudden weight loss like this isn't always healthy, and if Limbaugh continues this diet, there could be problems later on.
It is fitting that Rush Limbaugh would go to these extremes over a diet - even joking that he would stay on it long enough that people would think he had a deadly disease.
Everything Limbaugh does, whether it is weight gain or weight loss, or pills once upon a time, or attacking liberals, or calling to foil the President's plans for socialism, is done to the extreme. Therefore, a Rush Limbaugh diet should be no different.
