Honolulu, Hawaii- Fiery conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with severe chest pains on Wednesday, KITV, a Honolulu television station reported.

According to the Associated Press, paramedics responded to an emergency call at about to 2:41 p.m. from the island famous Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is staying for a vacation.

KITV did not cite their sources, but, said Limbaugh was taken to The Queens Medical Center in a very serious condition.

The hospital spokeswoman N. Makana refused to confirm that Limbaugh is in their hospital due to The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

But, Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said their men took a male of unknown age to an area hospital from the Kahala Hotel and Resort and refused to elaborate further the information.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club sometime earlier this week, KITV added. The said country club is just right next to the Kahala hotel.

For guest privacy reasons, hotel spokeswoman Sheila Donnelly Theroux also refused to comment on the matter and acknowledge that Limbaugh is in their guests list.

Limbaugh is the host of The Rush Limbaugh Show, one of the highest-rated talk-radio shows in the United States.

His program featured no guest, relying more on Limbaugh's tough conservative political analysis.

In 1988, Limbaugh moved to New York and began the national broadcast of his three-hour radio program on WABC that brought him fame.
