Rush Limbaugh Says President Obama is a Revolutionary Socialist

View is Based on President Obama's Speech in Kansas

The Rush Limbaugh Show

As with millions of American I listen to talk radio as often as I can, and on December 7,2011 the Rush Limbaugh Show was the most fascinating and exhilarating show I have ever heard. I listened to every word and took copious notes, and now I want to share what I heard. Limbaugh analyzed the President's speech in Kansas that was given the day before.

Limbaugh accused President Obama of being a Revolutionary Socialist who wants to transform America. He described the speech as Pearl Harbor Two, as the President finally told us who he is. He said that President Obama believes that the country is immoral and unjust since its founding and he is out to change it. The premise is that the country has never worked and it will only work if he transforms it.

The speech was described as idiotic, shameful, and alien to American ideals. Limbaugh said that the President told every patriotic American that his vision of America is different, as he said America as founded does not work. Limbaugh accused President Obama of having nothing but contempt for our economy and political system, and his vision of the future is not rooted in a single American tradition.

Limbaugh said that Obama's view that America from its founding has not worked and is fraudulent is a dangerous one. He said Marxist leaders such as Lenin and Mao have expressed this view and it is still being expounded today by leaders such as Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez.

Limbaugh accused President Obama of attacking the foundation of the free market system, when he implied that some people see the free market system as a license to steal. Limbaugh's view is that America's rugged individualism is not compatible with Obama's big government socialism. Europe is teetering on bankruptcy as it struggles with socialism right now, and Europe is only about five years ahead of the United States. So we must change our direction.

Limbaugh Defends Capitalism

Rush provided a vigorous defense of capitalism. He said we need people in private industry making a prosperous country, not a country of government departments and bureaucrats making rules, regulations, and even new laws. The Congress is now fighting to preserve its role as the only law making agency in the Federal Government. President Obama's policies of more activist government, more regulations and taxes do not develop new jobs. New jobs are developed when investors take serious risks and invest in products to satisfy customer demand.

Capitalism has fed and cloth more people than any other economic system and even exceeds charity. The profit motive is essential. In the Soviet Union there was no profit motive, no incentive to produce and there was never much of anything on the shelf to consume.

Disagreement Over the Role of Technology

President Obama believes that technology and the Internet destroy jobs and make it harder for Americans to find jobs and make a living. Rush said the internet is developing new jobs and it is difficult for anyone to know exactly how many. Rush claimed that the Internet has developed more new jobs than energy and agriculture, and 21 % of growth in industrialized countries come from the Internet. A survey showed that 34% of GNP comes from the Internet in selected countries. Rush said that Obama would have subsidized the horse and buggy industry because the automobile industry was putting it out of business.

The Economic Meltdown of 2008

President Obama said that greed and the irresponsibility of the few were responsible for the collapse of the country and the middle class was left holding the bag. Rush said the collapse of 2008 was caused by politicians forcing bankers to give mortgages to people who could not afford to pay.

Rush received a call from a lady named Laura who refused to identify where she was calling from as she feared lawsuits. She explained what really happened. Mortgage bankers were given huge loans to give out mortgages to as many people as possible. To give out the mortgages the bankers had to qualify people. They were given the power to easily fix the credit scores of their clients, and they could fix these scores in a couple of hours. The clients got their credit score of 700 and qualified for the mortgages. The mortgage brokers had little alternative as they were under pressure to approve the mortgages even though they knew many of the clients could not pay the mortgage. Mortgage brokers were reduced to commissioned salespeople. Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac spread this out far and wide and everyone in the system knew it would eventually explode. The mortgage brokers made millions and millions of dollars and this is how hey justified their bonuses. The bad mortgages were bundled together and became mortgage backed securities. The securities were continually bought and sold until there was no one left to buy them. Then the system collapsed and the bailouts were put into place.
