The billboard advertising Rush Limbaugh's show says "RUSH LIMBAUGH STRAIGHT SHOOTER" and is covered with giant bullet holes (you can see the photo on Gawker here). Luckily, there's no particular target on the billboard (are you taking notes on how to properly use firearms to promote yourself, Sarah Palin?), but since the bullet holes are scattered all over the billboard, it looks like Rush Limbaugh is not exactly a straight shot (when you're that angry all the time, it's probably hard to stay still when taking shots).
Of course there's no proof that Rush Limbaugh himself had any say in the design of the sign, which features the News Talk 790 KNST logo. And, interestingly enough, if you head over to KNST's website, you'll find an ad for a gun show scheduled for January 15th. So is this all some right-wing conspiracy to get guns in the hands of Rush Limbaugh fans?
Of course I don't believe that (just had to point out the weird coincidence), and Rush Limbaugh doesn't need to do any advertising for guns; the Tucson shooting was apparently advertising enough, as sales of the same Glock pistol used by Jared Loughner skyrocketed after the shooting. Plus it's not like the Rush Limbaugh billboard was put up after the shooting or anything, and, as has been pointed out time and time again, the gunman involved in the Tucson shooting was just a crazy individual, not a whole group of conservatives or liberals that are blindly following someone encouraging them to do violent things.
So will Sarah Palin call the media out again for their "blood libel" against Rush Limbaugh for pointing out this unfortunate billboard? Well, hopefully she's learned not to use that term anymore as part of the learning experience she's gone through lately (gun imagery and targets = bad; anti-Semitic phrases = bad; not making accusations of any kind and offering kind and caring words for victims and their families = good). And will Rush Limbaugh have someone take the sign down, whether he's responsible for the imagery or not?
Well, the fact that it's getting the attention of the media will definitely make for a great show discussing it, so he'll love it for the attention his show gets. Plus, if he does take it down, he'll be admitting that there's something wrong with it, and I just don't know if he's capable of doing that.

Post a Commentit's great to see all the rush bashing. he must really be getting under the lib's skin!
As I read all these post’s I can't help but notice just how un civilized these left wing wacko's really are. As the ongoing investigation proceeds it becomes more and more evident that this mentally sick individual was anything but conservative. Even so, it is those who continually proclaim faults accusations that seem to be the larger threat as far as anyone’s personal safety is concerned.
I guess the only thing left here to say is: Just read these post's for your self and make your own intellectual observation...
In this time of sorrow, why are you filled with such HATE? I think you are nothing more than a BULLY full of hate with a keyboard!
I can't stand Rush Limbaugh. I think he's just a bully with money and a microphone.
How can one billboard be blamed for so many problems?! Kudos to Rush & his team for any contoversy they have caused. Living in the heart of Texas maybe all of you "do gooder right wingers" don't realize how much we love & appreciate our "Honey Baked Hams"!!!!!!!!!!!
Have we become so "politically correct" that nobody can say anything that could offend somebody??? By all the evidence there was NO connection to any comments or actions by others that encouraged the Tuscon shooter. The corrupt left-wing media, New York Times and MSN and NBC to name a few can't pass up a chance to demonize those who actually stand for something. Shame on you!
Hey bob, have you ever seen a picture of Rush? Or are you just going by what all your hate filled news sources say?
Why are these people so scared of Sarah Palin? You write an article about a billboard for Rush,(which btw is inappropriate in my opinion),and somehow you work in your anti-Palin views.
If Rush doesn't look like the poster boy for honey baked hams, I don't know who would. He looks exactly like he sounds, a fub, which translates to a fat useless bastard, who could swallow a sow pig whole.
Hey Aida don't be a hater. Rush is entertainment and if it pisses off those that love to blame and wine-its a bonus!
