Russia is Enjoying the HTC Max 4G

This piece of news will probably come as a great disappointment to most HTC fans who do not reside in Russia, since for the moment that's the only market where the Max 4G is available. Even though the device is pretty much a stranger to most, this is no reason to keep it away from curious fans.

Fortunately for us, the unboxing of the handset has been thoroughly analyzed and, so, information is available, but most definitely not enough. In any case, even though this HTC device has not been confirmed for other
markets, should you be pleased with its capabilities, know that it is probable to arrive in other "neighborhoods" as well next year.

As those interested are already probably aware, the Max 4G is the first GSM/WIMAX mobile and, even if it was launched only in Russia, the interest is much too great for this phone to be ignored. Its tri-band EGDE WIMAX support capabilities make the delight of this cell right from the start.

Next, most noticeable about this Max is the 800x400 pixel screen, which seems fairly large, larger even than those of the iPhone and the Sony P1i. This can only please users, who can better enjoy the touchscreen support. On top of this, the phone features two cameras, 8GB of onboard flash memory and FM radio capabilities.

The first camera is placed in the front of the phone along with the miniUSB socket for sync/charge and audio/video, the front picture being complete after adding the microphone. The second camera is, naturally, placed on the back of the phone, but its lack of flash is a huge inconvenience.

The device seems to have been priced at $1050 even though at first sight it does not appear to be an advantageous investment. In any case, there probably is a logic behind HTC's madness; the only problem is that we cannot see it since the information flow from Russia is moving extremely slow.
