Having a bash and don't know who to hire to sing for it? Jennifer Lopez just might grace you with her presence if the price is right. Andrei Melnichenko, a 35 year old Russian Billionaire-banker, has personally invited super-star, Jennifer Lopez to entertain at his wife's 30th birthday party. The catch is is that it will cost him $2 million dollars for the privilege. Melnichenko called the star in person to ask her if she would be interested in performing for some 60 friends and relatives at an exclusive birthday party in the UK for his model wife, Aleksandra. The billionaire will fork over $1.2 million to Lopez and another $800,000 for Lopez and her entourage's expenses. Miss Lopez will perform for approximately 40 minutes. Spokesman for the family states that it is a strictly private party. The banker is worth about 5 billion dollars.

Not that Jennifer Lopez has anything better to do. Still not bad money for singing a couple of songs though. Lopez named the richest female Latina in Hollywood, does not need the money. The singer, actress and entrepreneur wears many hats and all of them pay extra-ordinarily well.

Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24th, 1969 in the 'Castle Hill' section of The Bronx in New York City, New York. She grew up poor and grew up with her love for music and her desire to become an actress. She has starred in movies, had numerous hit albums and has created a dynasty of fashion with her clothing and perfume lines. Lopez's line of clothing known as JLO by Jennifer Lopez will be retired in the fall of 2007and she will start a new line for Juniors to be called "Just Sweet." She will start her new ad campaign in fashion magazines including Glamour and Vogue. Lopez's use of fur in her clothing lines has created clashes with pet protection agencies like P.E.T.A. Lopez has stated that she would open herself up to being educated to the negatives of using fur for clothing.

Lopez has also appeared in photo-shoots for Louis Vuitton handbags and various other products. Her hit perfume line "J-Lo" includes numerous fragrances including her newer "Live-Luxe" and "Glow After Dark" that was released in January 2007.

Jennifer Lopez has starred in many movies including "My Little Girl" back in 1986. In 1997 Lopez made a name for herself when she played Tex-Mex legend singing star, "Selena." Lopez played Selena. Lopez was also the first actress to have a number one hit movie and a hit album both in the same week when she did "The Wedding Planner" in 2001 where she also won a Golden Globe for her performance. In 2007 Lopez starred in "Border-town" and "Cantante'." She is currently working on "Bridge and Tunnel", "America's Darling" and "The Governess" to be released sometime in 2008.

The actress and Grammy award winner has had countless hit songs and albums including this year's "Como Uma Una Mujer." Lopez is currently working on her fifth English language studio album. The album is still untitled but will include some 'Sade' and some 'Jamiroqua' influenced music. Lopez also recently tutored "American Idol" performers on the number one TV hit show during what was known as 'Latin Week.'.

Jennifer Lopez married long time friend, pop singer Marc Anthony, on June 5, 2004. Anthony had only been divorced from former 'Miss Universe', Dayanara Torres with whom he shares two young children. Lopez has no children.

That's a lot of dough for 40 minutes' work, and exactly what I'm talking about when I say we must put caps on how much money people earn.
