Ruth's Chris Steakhouse: A Restaurant Review

writingwhiz
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse delivers your steak on a sizzling plate of melted butter. From a petite filet to a porterhouse for two, Ruth's Chris cooks your steak just the way you like it. Their menu features more than just steak. Fish, chicken, veal and lamb are also offered. To complement these entrees, soups like Louisiana Sea Food Gumbo and Lobster Bisque are offered, or if you prefer a main dish or side salad. Let me introduce you to some of my personal favorites.

Location-

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

1185 Galleria Blvd # P-120

Roseville, CA 95678

Appetizers

Sizzlin Blue Crab Cakes- Two jumbo lump crab cakes are served with sizzling lemon butter.

Seared Ahi Tuna- Perfectly seared tuna with a ginger, mustard and beer sauce.

Salads

Ruth's Chop Salad features a little bit of everything. Iceberg lettuce, spinach and radicchio are tossed with bacon, eggs, green olives, and hearts of palm, croutons and eggs. I prefer the bleu cheese dressing, although lemon basil is also available. This salad is topped with crispy onion strings.

Steaks

My personal favorite is the strip steak with a bleu cheese crust. This steak melts in your mouth, with bleu cheese in every bite. The bleu cheese is ordered separately.

Vegetables

Vegetables are ordered separately. The sweet potato casserole features a generous dish of sweet potatoes covered with a brown sugar and nut crust. It's just as good the next day for leftovers.

Dessert

Warm Apple Crumb Tart features Granny Smith apples in a flaky pastry with a streusel crust and vanilla ice cream. I prefer to leave the ice cream off. If you're dining with someone else, it's big enough to share.

Chocolate Sin Cake- With chocolate and espresso, this cake satisfies the chocoholic in the family.

When you make your reservation, tell them it's for a birthday, and you have your choice of a free dessert.

Service

Service is usually very prompt, with drink orders taken immediately. The waiter takes your food and drink order and someone else offers you a choice of tap of Fuji water. The Fuji water is $8.00, so unless you prefer fancier water, stick with the tap, as it is ice cold. The waiters come by frequently to make sure everything is the way you ordered it.

Price

Dinner for two without dessert will total about $100.00. It's perfect for a birthday or anniversary and well worth the price.
