What you will find are 28 RV sites with picnic tables and barbeque grills. You will also have access to a bathhouse, a comfort station, disk golf, fire rings, a ranger station, a playground, a boat ramp and a nature trail. Pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved and you clean up after them. They will also have to be kept on a six foot or smaller leash while they are outside your RV.
There is a maximum of 14 days stay at Shepard State Park, so if you stay 14 days, on the 15th day you will have to move to another area within the park or you will have to move out of the park. There is also no firearms or fireworks allowed in the park and quiet time is 10 pm until 7am.
Even though there is no laundry facility at the park, there is one less than 3 miles away called Quality Coin Laundry and is located on Gautier Van cleave Road, Gautier, Mississippi. There is also Sudz Zone which is about 5 and a half miles northeast of the park on hospital Street in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
While staying here you may also need to buy groceries, the nearest grocery store is Jerry Lee's Grocery and Market located about a mile away on US 90 in Gautier, Mississippi. Walmart Supercenter, which also has groceries, is almost 6 miles east on Denny Avenue in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Shopping is not that far from Shepard State Park either. There is Singing River Mall located 2 miles northwest on US 90 in Gautier, Misssissippi as well as Dollar General with is also located northwest on US 90 in Gautier, Mississippi. Fred's Store is 5 ½ miles east on Telephone Road in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
If you do not wish to cook, fast food places are also located on US 90 northwest of the park. You will find Chick-Fil-A in the mall and Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald's, Subway, Sonic and Burger King all on US 90.
