The town of Auburn, Nebraska is located near the Nebraska-Missouri border and includes some appealing nearby hiking and camping opportunities. Whether you are in Auburn for a city visit or as part of an outdoor adventure, there are some atrractive RV park options for you to consider for your stay. Here are 3 RV parks available in the Auburn, Nebraska area.

Longscreek RV Park

The city of Auburn recently (in 2008) completed this small, but able, RV park located within the northwest part of the city limits. With 38 flat RV spaces, the facility offers water and electric (20, 30 or 50-amp) hook-ups. About 2/3rds of the sites are pull-through sites, with a maximum length of 45 feet. Sewer hook-ups are not available, but there are on-site restrooms. Additional amenities include fishing, hot showers, wireless internet, and laundry facilities. Pets are welcome at the year-round campground, and tent camping also is permitted. The park is somewhat isolated and is located next to a municipal recreation complex with soccer and baseball fields and about 200 yards from a train track.

Indian Cave State Park

Located about 13.5 miles southeast of the town of Auburn, Nebraska, Indian Cave State Park is a state Park with RV camping facilities. Indian Cave State Park is located along the Missouri River and boasts a fabulous hardwood forest and lovely hillside views of the meandering Missouri. The park has 22 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails and 16 miles of horse trails for you to explore along with picnicking and boating access to the river. Located near Shubert, the RV lots are a bit pricier than Longscreek RV Park (~$22 vs. $10 at last review), Indian Cave Park is also larger and less isolated, with 274 camping sites, 144 of which have electrical hook-ups, of which 133 have pads. Most electrical outlets are 30-amp though 22 50-amp units also are available. Phone reservations can be made from 3 days to 1 year in advance. RV camping is open May 1 - October 31, with longer dates on a weather-permitting basis.

Rockport / Rivers Edge KOA

Less than 20 miles from Auburn, Nebraska, one can stay at the Rockport KOA (Kampgrounds of American, a national campground chain). The park is located along the historic Lewis and Clark Trail, less than 5 miles from the Missouri Rivier. The Rockport KOA is actually located in northwest Missouri and is equipped with approximately 56 sites at a rate of just under $30. Shaded, extended length pull-through sites are available for those of you with larger rigs. Sites are well-spaced and most are shaded and level. Although there is no cable TV or telephone hook-up, wireless internet is available along with electric (up to 50-amp), water, and sewer hook-ups.
