There is an option for the Las Vegas visitor which will not break your budget. Rent an RV. Renting an RV will give you the freedom of staying in a fully equipped, home on wheels. You can use the RV to explore Las Vegas and the surrounding the Nevada desert area. Or you can park the RV in a campground on, or near the strip and call it home.
There are many types of RVs available for rent. If you are driving in from out of state, you might consider renting a tow-able RV. A tow-able RV can be a trailer or a pop-up camper. The pop-up camper is an excellent option for the budget minded traveler and those without a large tow vehicle.
The trailer offers more amenities like a private bathroom and sleeping accommodations. Either of the tow-able choices will keep you off the ground and protected from the weather. Even if you don't have a truck to tow with, many RV rental outlets offer a set up service.
The next RV option is a motor home which you drive yourself. These come in several sizes from the smaller class C to the large class A models. You can rent your motor home two ways. One is to drive it to Las Vegas from your home and second is to rent it once you arrive in Las Vegas.
There are many options for renting your RV. Motor-homes can be rented from several national franchised companies like El Monte and Cruise America. Another good source are local RV dealers who rent what they sell. One caution is dealing with the booking agencies. These companies represent private and smaller RV rental companies. Their fees are often very high and only add expense to your trip. Rent your RV directly from the RV rental company.
The final option is to rent a stationary RV in an RV park. One example is the Circus Circus KOA which rents the iconic Airstream trailer. Airstreams sleep up to four people and are fully loaded luxury trailers. I own an Airstream trailer and do all of my camping in one so can attest to the comfort and convenience of camping in an Airstream.
The Circus Circus KOA will also accommodate your own rental RV. You can park it here and be right in the middle of the action of the Las Vegas Strip. Located just minutes off of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas is the Las Vegas RV Resort. There is a bus to the strip which is within walking distance of the RV park.
Another campground option is Sam's Town which has its own casino and stage entertainment. This one is farthest from the strip but buses are available along with ample gaming and entertainment right at the RV resort.
Regardless of your choice of campground or RV rental, you will not regret the decision to rent an RV for your Las Vegas vacation. RV rental opens up many opportunities for your vacation without breaking the budget.

Post a CommentGreat article, for those interested in a little more information on Las Vegas you can visit http://www.inandaroundlasvegas.com as well.
Not all RV's are large. There are van sized RV's with surprising amount of room and easy to drive. You can also take advantage of delivery and set up options.
I’d rent an RV if I wasn’t so terrified of driving one! I’ll stick to my little car :)
