Ryan Admits that it was Creepy that He Hit on His Own Daughter
This is so wrong on so many different levels. Farrah wasn't even buried yet and Ryan is ready to run off with another woman. It seems like he could show a little more respect for the woman that he loved for so many years. He wanted to marry Farrah before she died.So much for the beautiful love story like the one that he starred in with Ali McGraw.
Ryan thought that she was a Swedish blonde beauty and didn't even recognize his own daughter whom he hasn't seen in a few years. Tatum wanted to pay her respects to Farrah Fawcett whom was kind to her and had moved in with Ryan when Tatum was 16. If you read "Paper Life," you can see why Tatum's spreading their dirty laundry for money outraged Ryan. I don't think that it was necessarily for money. It was probably very therapeutic for Tatum.
Tatum struggled with her self-esteem as a child and her father would compare her to Farrah. Can you imagine being compared as a child to any adult woman, letting alone one of the most beautiful, sexiest women in the world? It is no wonder that Tatum has suffered with addictions and low self-esteem.
The death of Farrah Fawcett was tragic but her life was glamorized, as is so often the case when a celebrity dies. Redman, the son that she and Ryan O'Neal had together without the sanction of marriage has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction all of his life. He appears to be a very tragic and lonely figure.
The other children of Ryan O'Neal according to the Today show are not fond of their father either. Patrick, Griffin and Tatum have all have had very rocky relationships with their partying, abusive father. I find it sad and tragic that society puts celebrities on pedestals because of their beauty, talent and lifestyles. Many times their lives are actually narcissistic, pathetic, lonely and amoral. Many of them have had very unstable and unhealthy relationships and addictions.

The point of this is what? Give Ryan credit for giving a child his name even if it wasn't his. Maybe Tatum isn't his either and it gives him the right to hit on her? Sorry I give him no credit for his behavior.
Ryan O'neal might have to be given a lot of credit for taking on a child that may not be his. For years, it had been rumored that Patrick O'neal, Ryan's alleged child with his 2nd wife, Leigh Young, is really the child of another man.
And that Leigh Young was involved with another man while she was romancing Ryan,
& that this man is Patrick's biological father. And that when Ryan married Leigh, he gave Patrick his name, so that the child's paternity would not be questioned in Hollywood. I'm wondering if Ryan would ever ask Patrick for a DNA test to find out if this is really his child. There were countless articles about this in entertainment magazines in the 60's, & 70's.
