Reports of Ryan Jenkins' Arrest Are False

Reports have been circulating that Ryan Jenkins was pulled off a plane in Toronto, Canada and arrested. It has now been reported that these rumors are false and wanted suspect Ryan Jenkins is still at large. Police are unsure of Ryan Jenkins whereabouts at this time, and cannot say if he is still in the U.S. or has since escaped to his native country of Canada. Witness reports from Washington, D.C. indicate that Jenkins' black SUV was seen towing a boat towards the Canadian border, and it is now believed that he is aboard his speedboat somewhere along the coast, either in U.S. or Canadian waters.

Jasmine Fiore's mutilated body was found on August 15, 2009 in a suitcase that was placed in a dumpster in the Buena Park area of Southern California. She had been strangled and her teeth and fingers were removed from her body, according to police reports. The body was identified using the serial numbers from her breast implants. Fiore was 28 at the time of her death. Jenkins was immediately charged with Fiore's murder, and has been missing since her body was discovered.

Ryan Jenkins is most well known as a contestant on VH1's reality television show "Megan Wants a Millionaire" about a young girl looking for love among rich men. The show was recently postponed after Jenkins, a 32-year-old millionaire real estate developer, became a wanted suspect in his wife Jasmine Fiore's murder. Fiore was a swimsuit model who met Jenkins at a Las Vegas casino this March and married him two days later. Court records indicate the Jenkins was charged with domestic violence earlier this summer following a dispute with his wife. Reports have also been made that Jenkins was extremely jealous and fought with Fiore on a frequent basis.

Jasmine Fiore's tragic death is yet another one of the many stories where domestic violence turns into brutal murder. How many women in the U.S. and around the world have now succumbed to violent deaths from their abusive boyfriends and husbands? How many more will it take for the violence and injustice to come to an end? And who should the blame fall upon? These violent men-turned-murderers are the clear people to blame. But these women who become victims often undergo many counts of violent attitude from their boyfriends and husbands before the actual murder occurs. All the signs are there for them to end the relationship and protect themselves. Why don't they get out of their situation in time? It is clear that love can be blinding and dangerous. My prayers go out to Jasmine Fiore's family and everyone who has been affected by such evil violence.
