Ryan Jenkins Found Dead, Possible Suicide

Ryan Alexander Jenkins was found dead in a Hope, Canada motel room, Sunday afternoon. Jenkins,31, was a two-time reality show star accused of killing his former wife, Jasmine Fiore. Police currently suspect his death is a suicide. This tragedy could leave many unanswered questions and a lack of closure in the case of Fiore's death.

Ryan Jenkins was found dead at the Thunderbird Motel, in Hope, British Columbia. Jenkins' dead body was discovered by the motel's staff, at 5 p.m. PT. TMZ reports that Royal Canadian Mounted Police believe his death to be a suicide, as he was found hanging in his room.

Ryan Jenkins found dead puts a ghoulish end to a well publicized international manhunt for the suspected murderer. The U.S. Marshals Service had placed a reward, up to $25,000, for any information leading directly to Ryan Alexander Jenkins' arrest. This was after an arrest warrant had been issued for Ryan Jenkins, in California, on August 20th, on charges of first degree murder.

Jenkins' body was positively identified by his fingerprints, a dignity which could not be granted to his ex-wife. Jasmine Fiore's nude body was found dead and mutilated, in a Buena Park , California dumpster. Her fingers and teeth had been removed, in a possible attempt to hide her identity. The swimsuit model had to be positively identified by the serial numbers in her breast implants.

CNN reported that Jasmine Fiore was last seen alive with Ryan Jenkins. They were seen together at a poker game, in San Diego, on August 19th. Jenkins reported her missing on August 20th, to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Prior to being charged with first degree murder, Ryan Jenkins was charged with battery, in Las Vegas. He had allegedly punched Jasmine Fiore on the arm in June.

In 2007, Ryan Alexander Jenkins was arrested and pleaded guilty to assault charges. This case was unrelated to Jasmine Fiore and originated in Canada. Jenkins was put on probation, told to keep away from the victim and ordered to undergo domestic violence and sex addiction counseling.

The grotesque Ryan Jenkins/Jasmine Fiore death tragedy may leave many questions unanswered. By Ryan Jenkins being found dead of possible suicide, Fiore's friends and family are robbed of their chance for closure. This makes their loss even more devastating. They may never know if he was the one responsible for Fiore's death or if her killer is still out there. It has yet to be reported if Jenkins left a suicide note, if he did indeed take his own life, as the investigation has yet to be concluded.

If Ryan Jenkins did murder his former wife, then the opportunity for them to put her killer on trial is gone. Having Ryan Jenkins found dead means that modern day justice will not be served. My sympathy and condolences go out to the families of Ryan Jenkins and Jasmine Fiore, for the tragedies they continue to suffer. I hope that police find a way to answer all their questions, to help give them closure.
