Man Believed to Be Ryan Jenkins Arrested and Released

There were reports yesterday that Canadian authorities had Ryan Jenkins arrested. This turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. Ryan Jenkins is not arrested.

An Air Canada flight from Vancouver was boarded by Canadian police in Toronto, around 11:30 p.m. Friday. Their goal was to arrest a man fitting the general description of Ryan Jenkins. According to TMZ, authorities were able to ascertain that the man was not Ryan Jenkins and was released from custody.

An arrest warrant for murder was issued for Ryan Jenkins, on Thursday. Jenkins is suspected of killing his ex-wife. Jasmine Foire. Foire was a swimsuit model and reality show contestant. Foire's body was found last Saturday, in a dumpster in Buena Park, California. She had been reported missing Saturday and was last seen in San Diego, with Ryan Jenkins.

Foire's body has been positively identified by the serial numbers on her breast implants. Police had to go to this extreme, since her teeth and fingers had been removed. According to CNN, police believe that this was an attempt to hide Foire's identity.

A man matching Jenkins' description was spotted Wednesday, driving a boat in Blaine Washington. A police search turned up his vehicle and boat trailer. They were found at the Blaine Marina.

Authorities believe that Jenkins is now in Canada. Prosecutors have requested that his bail be set at 10 million dollars.

CNN also reports that the Orange County District Attorney believes Ryan Jenkins to be armed and dangerous. This is due to a handgun that is thought to be missing from his apartment. Ryan Jenkins was charged with battery in June. This charge originated in Las Vegas, Nevada, for allegedly hitting then wife, Jasmine Foire, in the arm.

Ryan Jenkins has also been previously arrested and pleaded guilty to to unrelated assault charges, in 2007. These charges were in Canada. He was sentenced to probation and to stay away from the victim. Domestic violence and sex addiction counseling were also ordered.

There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading directly to Ryan Jenkins' arrest. It is being offered by the U.S. Marshals Service, as part of an international manhunt geared towards Ryan Jenkins' arrest.
