And Tatum O'Neal has confirmed it. As hard as it is to believe, Ryan O'Neal's 45-year-old daughter has confirmed to Vanity Fair that the headline, Ryan O'Neal hit on Tatum at Farrah Funeral is true. "That's our relationship in a nutshell," said Tatum. "You make of it what you will."

I am one of the people who finds the headline, Ryan O'Neal hit on Tatum at Farrah Funeral to be beyond belief - to be too upsetting to regard as truth.

Thus, it was a great relief to learn that Ryan O'Neal did not realize it was Tatum O'Neal he was hitting on. But why was he flirting with someone at Farrah Fawcett's wedding? That too is very disturbing and hard to understand.

But I want to give Ryan O'Neal the benefit of the doubt.

I'm going to operate under the assumption that Ryan O'Neal flirted with a woman at the funeral of his beloved Farrah Fawcett because he was too grief stricken to realize how tasteless and appalling it was to do so.

Emotional turmoil and grief can make people behave in odd and mysterious ways. It can make people behave in shocking ways.

And, apparently, a sense of unbearable grief made Ryan O'Neal hit on Tatum at Farrah Fawcett's funeral.
