S1111 Triband Cell Phone: A Review

I couldn't afford the iPhone which at the time was running around $400. So I started looking around for a phone that mimicked the iPhone for a cheaper price. I shopped on Ebay until I found S1111 Tri Band phone. Now mind you I didn't find this phone until about 6 months ago. I searched high and low for a phone like the iPhone until I got what I wanted. Well I thought that was what I wanted but I was so wrong.

The only great thing about the S1111 Tri Band Cell Phone was that it cost me $100. Ok great, I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg for a phone that acted like the iPhone. But once I got the S1111 Triband in the mail I was too excited for my own good. I liked the way it looked, it looked just like the iPhone on the outside but it didn't act like one in function.

Let's talk about the outside issues I was having with the S1111 Tri-band Cell phone. First and foremost the screen got extremely dirty too fast for my liking. Every time I would use the phone, my fingers would smear the screen. I would have to clean my screen after every single use, bogus. So what I Did was I ordered a screen protector for my phone off of a china website, once I received it in the mail I was angry again. The darn screen protector didn't fit so I ended up spending $5 for nothing.

So now I'm stuck with a S1111 Tri-band Cell phone that gets dirty and can't be protected with a screen slide. GREAT!

As far as function goes, I was a bit upset about how it worked with my service, I Wasn't able to utilize the mobile web like I used to because the S1111 Tri-band didn't support it. Which was a huge deal because I use the internet when I'm at work, it's needed.

Another thing I didn't like about the S1111 Tri-Band Cell Phone was that it didn't have any applications. The most I got from the S1111 Triband cell phone was the ring tone download. Other than that I was stuck with whatever the S111 Tri-band Cell phone gave me.

There was no ease of use when it came to the S1111 Tri-Band Cell Phone. The touch screen's buttons were too close together so I had to use the pen ALL the time. Now I've had my share of touch screen and I like the ability to NOT use my pen if I wish. That wasn't the case with the S1111 Tri-Band Cell phone.

My calls were horrible, I had a lot of trouble hearing most of the time. I couldn't really turn my volume levels up for some reason. So eventually I ended up taking my chip out and throwing the S111 Tri-Band Cell phone back on Ebay.

The only real thing I liked about the S1111 Tri-Band Cell phone is that it came with two batteries, and two chargers. I never ran out of juice because while I was using one battery, the other one was chagrining.

I'm not sure how I really feel about the S111 Tri-Band cell phone. AllI know is that I shouldn't have tried to cut the cost with the iPhone by getting a knock off. I guess you get what you pay for.
