Sacrifice is a Choice

After the passion?

After the dream?

Do I keep fighting?

For the things I believe in?

For things I know I can move?

Or do I stay?

I don't believe it's God's plan,

To stand still,

To sit and wait.

All my work feeds my soul.

I can't give up.

And at times,

Becomes a choice.

I pray there is someone,

Who understands ... eventually.

Someone who understands,

My need to have my voice.

Without my soul, I can't do God's work.

To fight for equality.

To fight for freedom.

To fight for love.

To stand and set examples.

For the young and old.

You do not always have to do the things you are told!

It comes down to choice.

To feed your soul.

To live your dream,

Then, you will know.

What truly fills your heart.

Some will understand.

Some will not see.

Some will stay,

Some will go.

What's in your heart,

Is all that counts.

Find inspiration, all around.

Find those to follow.

Share your dream.

I've found mine,

There's no exceptions,

And only requiem.

Align yourself.

Build community.

If it was easy,

Our world would not seem broken.

Only you can take a stand,

To move and awaken!
