Sacrifice (a Poem for Memorial Day)
So many lives lost
to ensure freedom for us all;
to ensure freedom for us all;
They did not back down;
They responded to the call.
They risked everything
that we might live.
With brave hearts they fought
with all they had to give.
Let us not forget
the price that they have paid;
To ensure freedom for us all
the ultimate sacrifice they made.
