Another day ends;
The world is in darkness;
And so am I.
Another wasted moment;
My heart is screaming, why?
No answer is given;
I wander about my prison;
A place of solitary confinement;
That was once my sanctuary;
I do not understand what is happening;
I just want it to stop;
The walls are closing in;
All I hear is deafening silence;
And the sound of rain pounding hard;
Tapping out its rhythm;
The wind breaks fragile branches;
And hurls them to the ground;
I say a small prayer;
Trying in vain to defeat my adversary;
As I try to protect my injured soul;
Everyday looks the same;
Unaware of passing time;
It is still early evening;
But I see no reason to stay awake;
So I take to my bed;
The blankets are wrapped securely around me;
And I wait for the only peace that I have left
The world is in darkness;
And so am I.
Another wasted moment;
My heart is screaming, why?
No answer is given;
I wander about my prison;
A place of solitary confinement;
That was once my sanctuary;
I do not understand what is happening;
I just want it to stop;
The walls are closing in;
All I hear is deafening silence;
And the sound of rain pounding hard;
Tapping out its rhythm;
The wind breaks fragile branches;
And hurls them to the ground;
I say a small prayer;
Trying in vain to defeat my adversary;
As I try to protect my injured soul;
Everyday looks the same;
Unaware of passing time;
It is still early evening;
But I see no reason to stay awake;
So I take to my bed;
The blankets are wrapped securely around me;
And I wait for the only peace that I have left

Post a CommentOh dear didi, how sad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, your bhai can't endure to see your teras, Though it is sad but as altime marvellous poem.
Sad but beautiful poem. Try to hang in there and prayers do help. Through all the darkness there is always a light somewhere to be found. Even though you had a moment wasted; you had many great moments when you wrote this poem. It shows the talent that God gave to you. keep on using your talent. I can tell from your writing that you are a beautiful person. Hang in there and remember a lot of people are on your side. Your poems may help a lot of people that are also feeling depressed. Writing will, also, help you release some of those depressed feelings that's inside, so keep on writing.
I can understand this feeling...depression..the blues...sometimes it feels like a black cloud is over your head..it helps to write it out..through your words in poetry..articles...journals..etc...but then make yourself write something "positive"....even if you aren't really "there" with the positive sometimes it does help..smile..you have got a love of people who love you ...!!!....:)
It hits me like that sometimes, too. That is why I am such a workaholic; it keeps my mind off being depressed when it hits (and it hits HARD!). We will be praying for you, Lisa. Please, just hang in there. Tough times don't last; tough people do!
I really feel compassion for you.
Thats very well written, BUt I hope that you can be happy :)
Don't be sad Lisa! We all have to thru it. It's just matter of time. But we have come out it no matter what. That's what makes us human. You are a great soul and my wishes are with you, always.
Thank you every one...this poem would have been published this last night, but AC wasn't working...Hugs.
Wow sad poem, hope you are ok hon? My thoughts are with you, great talent you have!!!!!!!!!!
Happiness has to come from within and as long as you dwell on sadness it will not end. There is nothing so bad they there is no answer. Pray for it dear lad and the answer will come to you. You have so much to be grateful for, with all your God given talent.
