Safari now has a version that is capable of running on Windows. It is suppose to be just like the Safaribrowser for Apple. I don't know, because I don't have an Apple. But the reviews it gets for Apple sure isn't what you see when you download it for Windows. The Safari browser is right at 20 megabytes, so you would think it would be a jammed up browser. Nope, it's just a basic browser with hardly no options what so ever. The browser is free to download and use. But I'm not sure it's worth the time of downloading and installing it.
Safari Web Browser for Windows Appearance
The appearance of the Safari browser for Windows is awful. The browser is a dark gray with black writing. Which makes reading the menus and toolbars difficult. I'm sure you're thinking, "Just change the skin". That would be nice, but no skins are provided with Safari. There is no way to change the appearance of the Safari web browser. What you see is what you get. That is a big thumbs down for this browser. All browsers allow you to change the theme or skin, but not Safari.
Safari Web Browser for Windows Plugins
There are no plugins available for Safari 3 for Windows. This is another big thumbs down. Plugins have now become quite popular amongst browser users, but Safari has no plugins to offer its users.
Safari Web Browser for Windows User Friendliness
Safari is user friendly to a certain extent. The menus and tools are pretty self explanatory. However, the appearance just kills the entire browser. The gray with black writing is difficult to read, so that is a negative when it comes to appearance. The fact that all of the menus are very simple is a plus. Everything in the menus are simple and straight to the point. There is nothing fancy in the menus or toolbars. This is just a basic web browser.
Safari Web Browser for Windows Overall
Overall, it doesn't seem like Safari is worth the download and install time. There are so many other browsers that have so much more to offer. You simply get a plain browser when downloading Safari for Windows. There is nothing fancy or unique about it. I would recommend not wasting your time on this browser. The Apple version may be wonderful, but the Windows version is not.
