Safety Rules for a Trampoline

If you're looking for something fun to buy for your kids then you may consider getting a trampoline in the back yard. A trampoline can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. A trampoline can be enjoyed by a family or an attraction for your kids' parties. Trampolines can be dangerous though so there are a set of safety rules that any trampoline owner should adhere to.

The most important rule with a trampoline is supervision. No children should be allowed to jump on a trampoline without supervision from an adult or someone mature enough to watch children. Teenagers might be old enough to jump on a trampoline on their own. It really depends on whether you think your teenager is mature enough.

Rule number one for anybody jumping on a trampoline is to make sure there is not too many people jumping at once. The trampoline should have rules with them that will say the limit of jumpers at one time. If the instructions are disobeyed then too many people jumping at once could lead to people bumping into each other and causing injuries.

Jumping on a trampoline can be dangerous if the trampoline is not placed in the proper place. Before buying a trampoline it is important to make sure you have an area that is big enough for a trampoline that is also flat. It is also important to make sure that the trampoline is far from trees and buildings.

Other than falling off the trampoline the biggest danger of a trampoline is the frame. The frame consists of metal springs and hooks and falling on them or rubbing against them can lead to cuts and scrapes. Injuries on frames can be avoided by making sure the trampoline has the proper padding to cover the frames.

Another consideration that may not even occur to trampoline owners is clothing. Obviously jumping on a trampoline is a fun activity and should be enjoyed with comfortable clothes but it is important not to wear clothes that are too loose. Loose clothes can get stuck in the frames, which can lead to torn clothes or even worse it could lead to injuries.
